Family on Dad's Day

Thought we would put a little video of of Tye's first "Recorded" attempt at communication. Bethany is doing her best to make him into a social child, which I guess is important. This will be Russ's first real Father's Day and he is looking forward to it. Bethany got him a nice present that will probably be seen on this blog in future posts. See if you can guess what it is when you see the next pic of Russ. Bethany is doing very well and Tye is keeping us all very busy. enjoy the video.

6 months in baby life

Tye's new found toy....Tags...

Well, I can't believe Tye is 6 1/2 months old...where did the time go? So we went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and he was 17 lbs. and 27" long. A gain of 1 lb and 2" in 2 months. He is still toothless and bald, but they are both coming soon. So we have started feeding him solid food, well if you call puree actually solid. We have found out that he does not prefer carrots, since he consistently pursed his lips and furrowed his brow with each spoonful, but he loves squash and zucchini. He reminds of a baby bird in its nest waiting for its mom to drop another worm into its mouth. He is so cute about it...opens his mouth so wide, even if he isn't looking our direction. Our doctor told us not to overkill on the "yellow" veggies so Tye does not turn orange due to the beta keratin. So on to green veggies soon.

Russ and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary this next week. It has been an amazing 3 years and WOW! how our lives have changed for the way better!! Hopefully many more to come...

What you talkin about Willis?

This is Russ's opinion of Tye's best picture up to this date.

Trip to South Carolina

This past weekend we took a trip, (some of us, a roadtrip) to South Carolina. Natalie, Bethany's sister, graduated from College on Saturday. We had a little bit of down time so we took a little trip up into the Appalachian Mountains. We were able to take our first family "hike". Ok, so it was only about a 15 minute hike but it was a hike and we got to see some beautiful scenery. Here are a couple of pics from the weekend.
